KALPANA TIMBER DEPOT, the parent company of our group started as a firm trading in timber in 1963. It was established by Shri. Kantilal.M.Shah. Though it was like any other firm initially, it gathered goodwill for the quality of teak it offered. Clients were from tamilnadu and beyond.

In 1991, KALPANA TIMBER DEPOT put up its own sawing facility at Red Hills with the help of Mr.Dinesh Patel and family who had expertise in selecting and sawing quality timber (procured from Ballarsha). Kalpana timber depot initially was dependend on imported Myanmar teak bought from importers. It soon started importing Myanmar teak and today they are one of the few who also bid at government auctions held at Myanmar every month. It has also put up a state of art lazer guided sawing facility at its own yard in 2011. Now seasoning facility will also be ready by October 2013.
